Grief Counseling Certification

Maggie Moore, LMFT, brings a comprehensive and specialized background to her clinical practice. Raised in Maryland, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services from Elon University in North Carolina. Driven by a commitment to the field, Maggie relocated to Los Angeles to complete her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California (USC).

During her time in Los Angeles, she worked within community mental health settings, providing essential support to underserved individuals, with a specific focus on the young adult population. Her early clinical experience included providing individual and group counseling within school systems, addressing diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.

Following her move to Denver, Colorado, Maggie dedicated over eight years to gaining extensive clinical expertise in the mental health and eating disorder field at a nationally recognized treatment center. She operated across all levels of care—inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient—collaborating effectively on multidisciplinary teams and working alongside industry leaders.

Her clinical practice is informed by rigorous advanced training, holding the Advanced Certification as a Grief Counseling Specialist, the Advanced Certification in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the Advanced Certification in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Notably, she also spearheaded the development and launch of a national family and friends program, dedicated to educating caregivers on supporting their loved ones through recovery.

When not engaged in clinical work, Maggie is a dedicated mother and wife who finds peace and renewal in nature. She enjoys walks in the park, mountains, or by the beach, and can often be found engrossed in historical fiction. She also enjoys attending live music and sporting events in the Denver area.

Maggie will begin accepting clients in January 2026. Please reach out below to be added to her waitlist.
